Intermezzo
From Symphony No. 1

The fourth movement of Genome: Symphony No. 1 is scored for percussion only. This movement is available as a stand-alone work for percussion ensemble. Features mallets in a minamalistic pattern that evolves over 16–measure units of shifting time patterns. Instrumentation includes: Bells, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Marimba, Timpani, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Large Toms, Sand Blocks, Gong, Triangle, Egg, and Tibetan Singing Bowl. Ideal for nine percussionists.
